Holidays' here!!!

YAY!

Today's the last day of school for the term for beilou...

The 2-week school holiday starts tomorrow but eventually
started off the moment we picked beilou from
kindie this morning.

Guess we are all in holiday mood already...

They had their class party today and doesn't need to have their
uniform on so it's a casual study day and party day for them.

I had him put on a black bermuda paired up with a white
MU T's with 'C. Ronaldo' on it.

Nice T's bought from Tesco earlier...

Dad must be proud if he sees beilou wearing it ...

"Glory, glory Man. United..."

(n_n)

For the party this time, I bought some party pack chips &
mini choc cakes for the kids.

And beilou got some of his splits (mostly junkies) from his classmates.

Other than the pack of Mamee snack & Tiger bisc...
the rests will be all 'surrendered'
to his 'taikor' when we get home tonight.

Actually he's a bit of picky on what he eats.
He eats only apples & oranges...he eats only orange flavored sweets...
and doesn't like ice-cream, cakes or jellies at all...
Well, as long as he's doing great with his normal intakes of
proper meal...I think it shouldn't be any prob at all.
(right???)

Well, ok, ok, it seems that he's not like any other usual kid
but I let him have his way when comes to choosing...
not all the time-lah.

What?! Oh no, no, I'm not taking any blame here (",)
(someone did actually blame me for didn't 'encourage' beilou to eat those 'forbidden' foods)

^^ piku~piku ^^

Welcome back boys-2-d-men...NKOTB ...

Muahahahah!!!!

Makan~makan

Lunch the other day...hmmm...cost me RM8
Mixed rice at the nearby Malay restaurant
I had white rice with sotongs, taugeh & telur sup (eggs cooked in soup
with veges)
Thats what made me eat there...telur sup....my favorite

I know that they'll most probably charge the nasi more
but when it came to RM8...I was a little surprised
So when I went to pay at the cashier, I asked the 'adik cashier' lah
How he kira for my plate of rice with blah & blah
I took 4 pcs of sotong that not any bigger than our little fingers, some stir fried taugeh & telur sup. All in 1 plate.

"mcm mana u kira yah...sotong, taugeh dgn telur sup?", I asked

"sotong u ambil berapa?", he asked

"4"...I told

"ah, ialah tu, sotong 1 RM1", he told

I said, "hah! sotong kecit mcm tu pun RM1 ar? (showing him while measuring wt my
little finger) lain kali besar sikit lah"

".........", (adik cashier said nothing with his muka masam-ed)

"bayar mesti bayar juga...tapi kita kena tau lah, kan", I said

".........", (he knodded still with the same muka)
(no wonder the guy was pointing here & there at my plate of rice when he was kira-ing
counting the sotongs...kah!)

Mother's Day celebration at hse-hse.

Steamboat dinner with inlaws, hub's family members...

They brought a cake for MIL ~ a durian cake~the family's fav. Tasted quite nice, almost like eating the real durian...

Well, it was the other way round for beilou though. As they brought the cake out, beilou already complaining "why chiu-chiu wan?" He's not a durian person so he thinks durians stinks. He doesn't like it at all.

He wasn't very happy after the arrival of the durian cake as he didn't wanna stand close to the table with the cake on in to take photo with the others, not even with his 'taiko'...I can't make him but to carry him and he still turns away. That's why he's not in the group pix.

I bet his Mama aka MIL wasn't any pleased at all cos just this one grandson of hers doesn't like durians...

Johann Strauss ~ The Blue Danube Waltz

Hahaha...
Fell in love with "The Blue Danube" eventually...

Got affected by beilou...cos he learnt this classical tune from kindie...
and came back singing it to me.

"fei poh cai dan ceh...deng, deng...deng, deng"
[no, no, no, this is my own version]

Whenever I hum..."deng, deng, deng, deng, deng..."
He'll hums back..."deng, deng...deng, deng..."

Making me so proud of him...amusingly...

^^ piku-piku ^^

Jr. + HFMD = hols!

Beilou got up on Monday morning telling us, "mouth pain"... sigh ...

We decided to let him take a day off from kindie as he's still having fever & those blisters.

We told MIL and she suggested we go for 'pray-pray' before going to the doc.

Okay...fine...so we went to the 'Ti-Mu Niang-Niang' place in Kepong Indah.

As usual, 'Ti-Mu' would say beilou got frightened by 'something' but in this case she also claimed that beilou's body was very heaty and his tummy was filled with gas/wind...

So 'Ti-Mu' got him a few 'fu' (amulet, if not mistaken) and let him drink up some 'water' and he'll recover soon after.

Well, no matter how 'bizzare' that is going be, we still insisted taking beilou to see Dr. Chan.

We waited at Chan's clinic for about 2 hours and finally our turn comes...
Dr. Chan checked beilou...and was confirmed that beilou got infected with HFMD (Hand, Foot, Mouth disease). Grrrr...sad...but true...

At least we know now that he's not just having fever & cold...so we'll have him some medicine and hope he'll get well soon lor...

Chan told us HFMD virus might spread & extend to kids particularly those aged below 6. As such, we decided not to go back home but went to mom's place instead.

'Cos if, by any chances that it got spread to the kids at home...we'll be dead-fishes ler...better be safe than sorry.

It is the 5th day today since beilou 1st caught with HFMD. He hasn't been going to kindie for the 5 days now. Infact, I was on leave to stay with him for the 1st three days. Only got back to work on Thursday.

We stayed at mom's since Monday. And will only be going back tomorrow.
Blisters on beilou's legs & buttock become fewer now...and the ulcer has quieten down abit...but this might take some time...
That is why he doesn't eat much these few days...mouth pain maa...hmmm

Think I should thank beilou for if not because of him getting HFMD, I wouldn't have had my most enjoyable time out at mom's since so long.... Aspendiu ya! (silly)

So, baby, please drink more water and get well soon!

May you be in the pinkish health always...mommy loves you...muak, muak, muak!!!

090503 ~ Day 2 Melaka Trip

Got up late this morning...So it was a late breakfast for everybody...
Quickly cook up the chic ham & eggs for them and then off to get ready to check out.

Sighted red spots on beilou's knee cap, hands and buttocks...Thought that it was merely caused by the not-so-clean bedsheets and blankie so didn't bother much.

After checking out of the apartment, we went to have our lunch at our fav chicken rice ball restaurant ~

Beilou...not too interested at those round-round chic rice balls...

He was not feeling quite well already...we noticed.

It was a nice lunch there...paid RM70+ for that.

Beilou, entertaining himself while waited for hubs' friends who went for 'beca' rides.

We went for our usual walk over at the Stadhuys. As I look back to our previous photos taken from our trip to Melaka, I noticed that whenever we stepped our feet here, the clock would striked between 12.30 & 1.30pm...twist of fate (?)...hehe

We bought home some local delicacies at this newly opened shop...'San Shu Gong'

'Lao Poh' biscuit, 'Kai Cai' biscuit & individually wrapped green tea 'kuih kochi'

We left Melaka & reached KL in the evening. Thinking of dropping by Dr. Wong to have beilou checked. When we reaches the clinic, it was packed so we didn't wait and went for dinner instead.

Arrived home at 8.30pm...took bath and all and let beilou have his time out with 'cousins' before headed to bed at midnight.

090502 ~ Day 1 Melaka Trip

It is our 4th holiday trip this year (1st to Penang, the other 2 to Genting.H)...and this time we visited "The Historical City of Melaka"...

We started off our trip with breakfast at a nearby restaurant...with hubs' friend, Mr. Fei, his GF & their kids...(sounds confusing?...they both have kids from previous marriages...so they brought their them along for this trip)

Eye of Malaysia
blurred - taken when passing by

After breakkie, we started our journey...happily...as we enjoy every of our trip to Melaka...eventhough we have been there SO, SO many times... I remember beilou's 1st outstation trip was to Melaka too...

We stayed at Garden City Service Apartments this time... a 2-room apartment with kitchen at RM274.25 a night. The place is nice too bad that their pool is closed for renovation...otherwise this trip could be merrier for the kids.

The 1st day there...we had lunch at Newton Culture Food Village...a eatery ala 'tai pai dong' where you can find almost anything there. We ordered some local famous food...the 40 years old popiah, cuttlefish with kangkong, the local 'dou chye' rojak (fishballs, tauhu, keropok, yam balls). Our friend ordered the 'hakka lui cha' for himself, basil pancake & fried oyster (or-qian)to be shared among us. After lunch, we headed back to the apartment as the kids need to freshen up.

As for dinner, we were thinking of trying satay celup at Mr. Quek's...as we reached there, we found that they serve 'all-you-can-eat' at RM 23.90 per adult and RM 16.00 for kids under 12... so we decided not to eat there. Somewhat pricey...as we thought.

We woudn't miss our stroll at Jonker Walk everytime we are here in Melaka. So we went there and got our car a nice parking spot with the help of a nice young chinese policeman...

As soon as we dropped off...we felt a slight fever on beilou... As the car was parked so nicely...we thought we shall take a 'beca' ride to the nearest clinic to get beilou check...

It takes 10 min for 'Abang beca' to peddal us to the nearest 24-hour clinic. Beilou's temperature reads 38 degree celcius so considered fever but not to high. Beilou at the clinic >

Given some medicine to bring down the temperature and some cough syrup too.

The beca ride cost us RM20 but hubs paid him extra of RM5 and the doc fee was RM33 and that comes up to RM58, just that...

As soon as we'd done with the doc...'Abang beca' sent us back to Jonker Street and we went to get ourselves something to eat. We had simple noodle soup so that I can share it with beilou.. But he hasn't any appetite so he didn't eat at all.
We took a walk then headed back to the apartment and we called that a night. While on our way back, beilou fell asleep in the car and slept through the night til the next morning. Yup, he didn't even had his RM33 medicine.
That's us...by hubs on the camera
