...with a bang!!!

well, might not be any specific 'bangs' for us this year but at least Beilou, hubs and I will be spending the night together, ushering into the brand new year 2010...the year of the Tiger... the first thing I did as soon as I came into the office this morning was clearing all those rubbish from my table and awaiting for more to come next year...

~~ From a kid's point of view...

The other day while relaxing in our room, Beilou did some writing/drawing on the new examination pad I bought him earlier. Know what...he actually drew his own rendition of Eclipse of the Moon...yeah, I mean ECPLISE. Although not sure if it was the Annular, Total or Lunar Eclipse but from his simplest way of describing the drawing, we could definitely can see a moon is disappearing into the some black thing that I guess are clouds...not a really specific way I'm trying to put in words here, why not check out the drawing yourself...I bet you'll see something familiar as I did ^_^

Somewhat rewarding seeing the whole improvement Beilou went through so far...I can say that he is doing rather well...am so PROUD!!! And whats more lately he uttered a few new words that were rarely memtioned to him...

a) acorn (from the Xmas tree decorations)
b) skunk (smelly skunk)
c) tent (for camping as he descried)
d) cool (as in great...nice...etc)
e) "I thought..."
f) "what about..."
...and more that I can hardly recall for now...

You see...never a sorry to have sent Beilou to kindie too soon...
He'd learn so much and is still learning...
So proud...

Been 'visiting' Ampang lately after our last stop to the Look-Out Point the other day... Came across this Eat-All-U-Can Korean BBQ Steamboat restaurant located at the Ampang Waterfront...and thought of giving it a try. Food there were not bad at all but way too pricey compares to Kepong BBQ joints...

Another day at Midvalley with hubs & Beilou.... As usual...no miss for a few snapshots with the Christmas put-ups. Beilou was so eager to snap with the good o'acorn...when he was looking at it & said to me, "Mi, acorn..." Good boy...good to know that he knows that's an acorn...

After a nice afternoon stroll at Midvalley, with hubs' wise suggestion, we stopped by Nong & Jimmy Thai BBQ Restaurant located somewhere in Ampang/Cheras...for the 1st time... Their specialties...BBQ seafoods of huge crabs, squid (sotong putih), fishes and seafood tomyam soup. The bill came up to about 100+ with 2 huge BBQ crabs, 1-whole BBQ squid, tomyam soup, mix vege and Glass Chicken Feet...well done... We enjoyed our crabs so well...happy for Beilou cos he likes it too ^_^

Sobei sis' birthday on the 18th... promised her that we celebrate together this year so on the eve we went for a drink at Finnegan's Hartamas thinking of splurging into Beamish but they ran out of it (sh*t)...and later to Donk's working place aka Friend's Pub for our second round. Thoughts of bringing her to a 'new' place to see some 'new' stuffs, a great choice made so well. I bet she'd really 'saw' the 'new' stuffs this time. Haha! I really hope that she'd enjoy the nite as well as I did and I'm glad as she said she did... Oh, well...until next year & the years to come...Happy Birthday, Sis! And thanks for everything...and I mean really 'everything'.

Xmas Eve ~ 24 Dec 2009
Christmas ~ celebrated with pressies exchanging with the peeps at 'haus' on the Eve. The nite was...eventually warm & hilarious... The kids enjoyed it the most...to have unwrapped so much of pressies... See the BIG one...? Beilou got it and guess what...it was just another box of mandarin oranges in it...I guess that spells ~ FUN...duuuh...

On Chrismas Day...we stayed home for the day and went to N&J for dinner again... With our high hopes we went there for our favs ~ BBQ crabs & sotong...they were all sold out...luck was not on our side this time... So there we were, eating without our favs... We will sure be going back soon...soon...

On the nite of Boxing Day...we went to the ever famous Jln. Alor for our supper. The oyster cake (oh-jien) was the nicest ever so as the pork noodle...

Dad's birthday on 27th...just a simple McD Prosperity Beef Burger did the job...heheheh... We could have celebrate Dad's birthday today but sis was away relaxing far, far away...well, what to do and so we made a deal that the celebration be postponed to later. Wouldn't be long, promised.

We were visting...

Not Again?!
Yup...yes, indeed, again, we visited The Historical City of Melaka...considered this place our FAVS, to me, hubs & Beilou too... Our must-haves Chicken Rice, WanTanMee & Popiahs...hence I'm gonna officially declare this, from this day on, as our Chic-Wan-Pops Get-a-way...
28th Nov. 2009...marked as our 11th Wedding Anniversary, ahem...(shy) Proud to say, am lucky to have come so far...having hubs along these years made me feels comfortable...I won't forget that together, both of us, 1st visited Melaka back in those days.
I know sometimes words can't express much what's more when I'm not clever at doing it... that was why I've always thought a short trip away from 'everything' and I mean really 'everything' will never be a regret...
This time round, we got ourselves a room at one of our favorite hotel, Mimosa...the hotel is so near to the shop selling that WanTanMee that we would never miss...and it is also near to the popiah stall too...can kill many birds with 1 stone if staying at this hotel cos it is also located nearby to Jonker Walk...
For all of our visits to Melaka...we would definitely be having :- Chic rice for lunch Popiahs for snack/tea-time/supper Wan Tan Mee for dinner Never a miss...
And as for the next day, after leaving Melaka...we would drop by Seremban for grilled crabs. Nice and big crabs this time...we only had 1 crab and that merely weighs 1kg... you can imagine how huge was it... Until our next visit...not long, as I'm planning to go back by end of December for some CNY shoppings... Wahahaha!!!

The Sky...caught on my Mju yesterday.
The dark clouds rushing in looked extremely scary...I was worry so I quickly left the office thinking that a heavy downpour would take place. Well...the pour didn't make it here after all. The dark clouds were only 'visiting'... Hm, hm, hm... I guess sometimes we do need to be visiting, be it people or places rather than awaiting to be visited...

Progressing...

So, it's the month of December...meaning the year 2009 be ending, pretty soon... On the 20th Nov...I went to meet with Teacher Jacinta for the final Parents/Teachers' Day at Beilou's kindie...as usual, Teacher Cinta would let me take home all of Beilou's 'masterpiece' i.e. artwork etc which Beilou did for the whole semester...only different this time was, this would be the last time for me to meet & talk with Teacher Cinta regarding Beilou's kindie progresses as the semester be ending soon...
Teacher Cinta even mentioned that she, too, felt sad to let the kids go although they'll be around but not in her class anymore starting next year...

23rd Nov ~ Well, this was the time when everybody can have their great time together with their schoolmates as it's the school excursion day! They went for a half a day Aerospace Tour ~ TUDM to see the aeroplanes...
It was their 1st & the last for this year though...
We reached the kindie at 7.45am as required but they only started off their journey at 9am... I bet they have enjoyed the trip so much only that they were all so worn-out & Teacher Cinta even told that Beilou fell asleep on the bus during their way back...hehehe

One of Beilou's classmate, Alis celebrated her 4th birthday at kindie on 24th Nov...she got them each a party pack & of course all those tit-bits goes to me... I had Beilou bringing Alis a cute & nicely wrapped present which I've bought earlier (Minnie Mouse blankie)

25th Nov. 2009 Finale ~ End of the school semester 2009
What else but class party!!!!! As I saw Teacher Jacinta on this morning, I, without hesitation, requested to snap a pix of Teacher Jacinta with Beilou... this one is definitely gonna be a keeper as I want Beilou to remember Teacher Jacinta Das as his 1st teacher and a great teacher too... I'm so happy to have her as Beilou's class teacher and am so grateful that I'm thanking her so much for her precious time spent with Beilou...

Mom had all that she wanted...a complete buys perfectly for cousin Rudy's wedding day & dinner nite...

Beilou set his foot at the cinema for the 1st time today...

He went for the Doraemon movie with his cousin & Da-gu
I know that he's gonna have so much fun there especially with his cousin, Sunny along..
well, we weren't with him for his 1st time but I promised that
I'll bring him to the cinema again when there are nice movies next time.

Big day for cousin Rudy & his wifey Kathy
They hailed back from London to host a wedding dinner for the families here
The dinner was held at night at Holiday Inn, Glenmarie
In conjunction with this, we have pre-booked a room for us to hang around while awaiting
for the elders to have their compulsory 'yumcha' session with the bride & groom
Dad, Beilou & hubs had their afternoon dips in the not-so-spacious pool at the hotel
while Mom, Jen & I had hi-tea buffet at the restaurant
Not bad for a relaxing Sunday afternoon at the hotel...

Happy Birthday to my BB

It was hub's birthday last Monday...but we couldn't celebrate it with him cos he was away...outstation...work...

Hence, on Sunday (九月初八), I made him 2 'red eggs' ~ (auspicious for the birthday-boy)...that was my gift to him besides the new wallet from Beilou earlier...LOLz
A nice celebration was held at Tenji for our dinner/supper night, which I've made a reservation earlier on.

Over the weekend...

Hubs was away for work over the weekend since Tuesday...therefore I was alone with Beilou for the whole week...
Well, it was nothing unusual but this time was an exception as hubs will always be around with us for the weekends.
Now these things here actually happened over the weekend...

TGIF...it's good to be at home...especially at Mom's
She whipped up one of her 'signature' dishes tonight ~ Tiu-Kok-Fan (Long Beans with Rice)


This 1-pot meal comprises long beans & rice with a some meat & dried prawns that added extra flavour & aroma to the rice.
It's been a long time since we last had it...so fullfilling & so warmed at heart...
That's when you really wanted to shout out ~ Mom's cooking tonite!!!

I took a few of 'ME' hours and did some shopping with a friend ~ Donk and had Beilou taken care by MIL & SIL...thanks a bunch! Beilou was up so early in the morning thus he snoozed off as early as 9.30 at night constantly granting me another session of my 'me' time ~ doing nothing but PSP-ing (haha) till wee hours.

Sunday > 11102009
It was indeed another sunny & hot Sunday with me & Beilou got together with sis with a plan to visit the KL Bird Park. Can't recall my 1st time there but it was Beilou's 1st visit there.
As soon as we had our lunch & got hubs' car serviced at Jusco MP, the 3 of us, with so much of anticipation, started our journey to Taman Burung Kuala Lumpur, Taman Tasik Perdana.
We reached there at about 3.30pm and left half an hour before it closes at 6pm...
The place is sure nice place for families to visit especially with the kids along (despite the hot weather-la).
Well, I wanna thank sis as she was the one who started suggesting for every of our little expedition be it our previous visits to the Zoo & other wonderful, interesting places that we've visited together.
There were really nothing to whine about for this visit...except that I, carelessly, left my 'precious' at the park's washroom...damn it...
My 'precious' really meant a lot to me as it has been with me for almost 4 years now... even if it's not anything pricey, I'm sure gonna miss it so much...

Finally we were tucking ourselves to bed after our long day out and Beilou came up with these...
"Mi, Daddy leh?"
Assuming that he gets what I actually meant, I replied,
"Daddy work-work maa...no work, no money ah"
With his baby voice he said, "I miss Daddy wor..."
Agreeing with him, I said, "I miss him too..." yep, I really do
Don't know why, the feeling of insecure suddenly came after our talk that made me think of
'silly' yet impossible but may come possible thoughts...
Hence, I had a slight insomnia for the night. Geez...

Again...the future will be better tomorrow...my way of SAYING

Da' Day...

Yes, yes, yes, the day has finally come...4 October 2009 "The Q-dees Annual Concert 2009" themed Nurtured with Love, essentially true!
On a bright, sunny Sunday morning, we made ourselves up & done so well for this BIG day and most importantly, Beilou's dance show, the 'Mamma Mia' dance...hehehe. As soon as we reached kindie...we saw his fellow kindie-mates all dressed in all sorts of costume and they were all SO cute...
As we were waiting outside for Beilou to get on the bus, bus to transport them to the concert venue, I managed to snap a few pics...see him moaning in one of the pic ? He was actually telling, "Mi, I'm going already" ~ showing me a no-more-photo snapping-pls face...
Oh, okay...fine...tsk...
And then later...just 2 snap shots with Beilou's bestie, Lingess

We celebrated Mid Autumn Festival on the night of 3 October 2009 at home. With hubs' relatives over to our house...MIL prepared a range of dishes for dinner...and to go with the celebration...she also bought a huge pamelo, some 'lin kok' & 'wu zhai' and mooncakes... The kids were having so much fun playing 'tanglung' (lanterns) while the adults got together for each other's updates while supervising the kids. There aren't candles sticking on the grilled gate like before cos we don't wanna fuss ourselves cleaning up the mess later...so there were only lanterns...The night ended smoothly & nicely...glad...
We called it a night after Beilou took his bath at 11 something and off to bed he goes...
Gotta be prepared for the BIG day tomorrow ~ Q-dees Annual Concert...(04 October 2009)

As soon as Beilou inform me about his dance for the Annual Concert, I kept pestering him to show me his moves...
He was so reluctant but finally he told he was actually dances to "Mamma Mia" song!
I said great...and sang him a few lines of the song...
He asked me surprisingly how I know the song...hahaha!
Of course lah...I'm the Dancing Queen maa...(another fav number from ABBA)
I downloaded Mamma Mia into our PSP for the sake that Beilou might consider to at least show us some dance moves before the actual concert.
And when I played the song fr our PSP...he, again was surprised and overjoyed.
"Yang can practice with this song at home-loh", he claimed.
After a long wait, I get to see his dance last night...
He even teaches me a few steps mimicking Teacher Cinta, 1 - clap, 2 - clap, 3 - clap...
Swaying our arms - counting 1, 2, 3, 4, ...
LOLZ!
After all the guidings from Beilou...we get to do the dance together for awhile with me being his girl partner, substituting Aleeya Natasha right after he complained, "Yang mao partner how?" )

I want to laugh out SO loud...but worried that he might back off, refusing to continue the dance...

And so, here I am, laughing my heart out, as joyful as Clarabelle Cow...
WAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
So, dance, baby dance...it's yet another accomplishment from my baby

Concert Rehearsal (",)

see those buses?...they are to 'ship' Beilou & his kindie-mates, teachers to IIU/UIAM (International Islamic University), Jalan Gombak for this year Annual Concert 2009 rehearsal.

Beilou & his fellow classmates boarded the bus as in the bottom picture.
we got up early at 7am this morning just to make sure we'd be on time for these. we sure don't wanna miss the bus.

well...this is actually Beilou's first time ever being on a bus...and this is such a huge one
I was wondering how's he gonna feel getting on a bus...w/o us around
Beilou did asked me if I'm coming with him for the bus ride...my answer..."I can't as the buses doesn't have enough seats cos those seat are for you, for your frens & your teachers"..."I'll be following by driving Daddy's car, ok?..."
phew...I hope he gets what I meant...

the buses departed at 8.30am...and I'm back to the office, waiting eagerly to 1pm, that's the approx. time they come back from the rehearsal.
so I took off fr the office at 1pm...and at this moment, the kindie is already packed with parents, waiting for their babies to arrive.
found anice parking spot (which I usually never needed to) waited while PSP-ing
they were late...they reaches at 1.30pm...
as I saw the buses, the one Beilou was on...I quickly got out & walked to the bus.
out came all his classmates, 1 by 1, Beilou came after Lingess & Zhe Xi with Jia Cheng lingering from behind...hehehe...Lee Jia Cheng, he's just so adorable...

as soon as I got hold of Beilou...I asked him how was his bus-ride, who he sat with, where did he go & did he do the dance properly
he was thrilled...my guess as he told what had happened on the bus
he ate a butter bun...Jia Cheng asked him to buckled up (so he sat with him) and the other kids watched & clapped while he & his fellow classmates dances...
kidss, kids, kids...

can't wait to see him perform this coming Sunday...

Breakaway

need I say more???
it was another 2D 1N breakaway, rest & relax trip to the Historical City of Melaka
I know that we've been there for several times already but we just couldn't help it ourselves. The last time we visited was last May, with the same company except the accommodation we had this time was much more better.
we stayed at Mahkota Hotel...which I managed to book at the very last minute.
I think they had the best pool ever compares to others.
Beilou had his great splashing time with hubs.
as for our usual visit to MC...we wouldn't miss doing what's 'compulsory'
a night stroll along Jonker street, our must-stop at uncle's popiah stall for a bite or two, tried our very best beatin' the longest queue ever for satay celup at dinner time and finally having our wantan mee supper from the stall located along Jalan Bunga Raya...
MY ALL-TIME FAV!!!
and not forgetting hubs must-have chic rice ball ~ Chong Hua Restaurant@Jonker Street.
hubs would, by hook or by crook queue up for seats no matter how long it can be
unless the boss waives his hands ~ mei you liao
the queue can be as LONG as the satay celup shop.
anyhow, we were actually loving their steamed chic...
theirs are the tastiest compared to the others.
ahhhh...what a wonderful trip...I really love going there...
and I guess hubs agreeing with me too.
we are looking forward for our next holiday trip...
a bit further we might go...who knows...keep our fingers crossed...hard

FLY'N SHADOW

Somethin' new...at least to me & the peeps at 'haus'
Hubs' cousin Kang-Zhi aka Max (singing with guitar on) with his band ~ Fly'n Shadow
He's been traveling with his band for sometime since...be it locally or overseas or even on board ~ cruises that is
they do shows in Penang now and I heard that they'll be hopping over to Macau by end of the year...all on contract basis ~ cantik!
("o") Just hadn't realized that he & his band have come this far now...great job!

I remember when we were staying in Serdang few years back, we would never missed listening to his nightly practices...he & his family stayed next to us.

His parents must be very proud of him...

We had hubs' buddies & wifeys over and of course, not forgetting, their kids too. The kids had themselves a real good time and undeniably, we the grown-ups have as well had as much fun as the kids that night...
